Three things that decide whether overalls fit

Torso length. Jumpsuits have the same problem, and plus size jumpsuits covers the one-piece picks; on overalls, the straps take up the slack above the waist, within limits. Two brands here sell a longer body. Berne’s women’s size chart puts its Tall at 2 inches longer in the torso than Regular, and Lucy & Yak’s Tall fit is offered to people 5’10” and above, with the length adapted “through the torso, rises, sleeve lengths and leg length” on its sizing page. Its Petite is cut shorter in the rise and body, and narrower, for people 5’2” and under, but only up to UK 16: “For sizes 18 to 32, we have adjusted leg length proportions only.” Its Long fit adds 5 cm to the leg with “no changes to the width, rise, or overall shape”.

Getting in and out. A side opening lets the waist widen past your hips. Berne lists “Side buttons allow for a custom fit”, the Jara shorts list “additional side button fastening”, the Leah has a “Three-snap side closure”, and one product photo on the Big Bud Press listing is described as showing an unbuttoned side. The Wildfang, Nooworks and Lucy & Yak Original descriptions do not mention one. On our reading, that side opening is also what makes bathroom trips easier, since the straps alone do not have to get the waist past your hips.

Inseam. Only some listings print one: Berne’s guide gives Short 30”, Regular 32” and Tall 34”; Wildfang prints a flat inseam for every size (its feature list gives a single 30” inseam); the Jara’s inside leg is 30 cm. Compare those with your own, taken the way how to measure inseam describes.

S to 2XL cost $74.99. The chart on the listing puts 4XL at a 52.5 to 55.5-inch chest, 46.5 to 50-inch waist and 54.5 to 58-inch hip. It is our first pick for a long torso within that range, because Tall changes the torso and the inseam together, and the lowest US-dollar price here.

Drawbacks: the chart runs to 6XL but this listing stops at 4XL, and in 3XL and 4XL the Short and Tall lengths are offered only in Brown; Titanium is Regular only at those sizes.
