Plus Size Clothing: 12 Brands and the Sizes They Carry

“Carries plus sizes” means a 3X at one shop, a 24W at another and a 40 at a third, and finding out which means opening five sites and scrolling five size menus. Below are twelve brands with the exact top size each sells, read off their own listings in September 2026, plus whether the plus sizes are a separate line or one continuous run, and the inches behind the top label where the brand prints them.

Prices are the lowest and highest list prices across each brand’s first 250 listings on 19 and 20 September 2026, rounded to the nearest dollar or pound, so the range includes socks and accessories at the bottom and coats at the top.

What the top size means in inches

The label is the least useful column in that table. Three brands print a 3X or a 24W row, and the bodies those rows fit are different:

• Democracy’s top, 3X or 24W, is a 51-inch bust, 47-inch waist and 57.5-inch hip.
• Superfit Hero’s 3X is a 51 to 54-inch bust with hips at 58 to 62, and its run keeps going for four more sizes to a 90-inch hip.
• NYDJ’s 24W is a 44 to 46-inch waist with 54 to 56-inch hips, and its shop stops at 28W even though its chart prints rows to 34W.

One run or a separate plus line

Two ways to build a range, and the brand’s wording tells you which you are buying.

One continuous run sells a single numbered or lettered run with no separate plus label: Universal Standard’s 00 to 40, Girlfriend Collective’s XXS to 6XL, Big Bud Press’s XXS to 7XL, Good American’s 00 to 32 Plus. What you can check is whether the specific style stops early, which Good American’s jeans do on some colours at 22 Plus.

A separate plus line is drawn from a different block. NYDJ says its plus jeans are “made with the same inseam lengths as our jeans in regular sizes with adjustments that consider the overall body proportions of women who wear plus sizes.” Democracy prints the effect in its chart: a 14 at a 33.5-inch waist beside a 14W at 35, a 16 at 35 beside a 16W at 37. The two are different garments that share a number, and the row, not the number, tells you which fits.

How to use a brand’s range

1. Measure bust, natural waist and hips, and write them down with the date.
2. Open the chart, not the size menu. A menu that ends at 3X tells you nothing until you know what the brand’s 3X measures.
3. Check the size run on the exact product. Ranges above are brand-wide; a single colourway can stop short.
4. Near 14 to 20 at a brand with a plus line, read both rows. The regular and W sizes overlap in number only.
5. Use the drop for trousers. Waist-to-hip difference decides whether a regular or a curve cut fits, and the pairs that publish it are in best jeans for curvy women.

What is the difference between a 3X and a 24W?

At most of these brands nothing you can rely on, because letters and W numbers map differently from chart to chart. Democracy's 3X top is a 22 to 24 with a 51-inch bust; Superfit Hero's 3X is a US 22 to 24 with a 51 to 54-inch bust; NYDJ's 24W is a 44 to 46-inch waist. Is a plus line cut differently from the regular sizes?
